We are looking for a Health & Safety Officer with brilliant SHEQ Management Skills to join our team. The candidate is expected to be organized with brilliant problem-solving skills.

Experience: 3 – 5 years

Duties

  • Conduct safety, health and environment risk assessments and audits
  • Implementation and maintenance of the companies Health and Safety policies and processes
  • Identifying health and safety related training requirements and coordinating training for operational teams together with HR & Training Officer
  • Reporting on SHE statistics and identifying business improvement areas
  • Implement relevant HSE activities and programs to promote a safe work culture
  • Maintain quality assurance on ISO standards
  • Safety file compilation
  • Manage equipment maintenance schedules

Attributes

  • Proven working experience as a Health and Safety Administrator
  • Exposure to ISO standards and implementation essential
  • Meticulous administrator
  • Partnership building and interpersonal skills
  • Decisive accurate and pro-active
  • Driver’s licence is essential

Qualifications

  • SAMTRAC certification preferable
  • Relevant Health and Safety qualifications
  • SACPCMP registered advantageous
