We are looking to hire a highly skilled and organized Procurement Buyer to join our team. In this position, you will manage the company’s supply of products, materials and/or services. To strategize with team members to cut procurement expenses, strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills are a must.

Duties

• Research select and purchasing quality products and materials
• Source and interview vendors; negotiate contracts and costs
• Process requisitions and update management status of orders
• Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels
• Determine the lowest cost for products/materials

Skills

• 2-5 years of previous experience in procurement or purchasing
• Experience in industry procedures, costs, and terms
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
• Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Experience in BBBEE Procurement Management
• An understanding of purchase order software platform e.g., Chase System and ERP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Business Finance, or related field
• Knowledge and understanding of the framework, tools, and techniques necessary for the professional practices of procurement
• Professional certifications advantageous
